Wing/Non-Wing Sprint Double Header at Creek County
Speedway This Weekend
TULSA,
Okla. (May 4, 2008) - Creek County Speedway will be
the site of a sprint car double header on Saturday
when the OCRS sprints return for the first ever
wing/non-wing points show.
Racing fans will see two complete sprint shows with
added money and double points on the line.
The OCRS sanctioned event will start with the
sprinters running a complete show of heats and
features with their win wings on. The sprint teams
then will head to the pits to remove their wings in
preparation to run another complete show, this time
without wings.
Robert Kirk took a wild ride during last
weeks super stock A feature. Fortunately
Kirk was not hurt.

KELLYVILLE,
Okla. (May 3, 2008) -
Former sprint car champion Roy Larkin
found his way into the winners circle for the first
time in 2008 and it was enough to give him the
points lead Saturday night at Creek County Speedway.
Leroy Cook, Jr. won a hard fought modified
main event while Carl Lewis repeated in mini stocks,
Mark Duensing won for the second time in pure
stocks, and Matt French led all but one lap on the
way to winning the super stock feature.
KELLYVILLE,
Okla. (April 26, 2008) -
Tommy Romine, Carl Lewis and Rick McKinney picked up their
second victories of the season while new winners emerged in
three classes at Creek County Speedway on Saturday.
Danny Smith waited patiently to
make his move in the sprint car main event and with
five laps remaining Smith slipped inside of Frank
Sudduth to post his first victory of the season.
Sudduth jumped off the pole into the early lead and
held a tight inside line with Smith giving chase.
Smith tried to challenge on the high side for much
of the race but the high groove was not providing
enough traction. On lap 15 Smith squeezed inside of
Sudduth on the backstretch and edged into the lead
in turn three. After a lap 19 restart Smith
continued to lead leaving Sudduth with second.
Waylon Weaver held onto third and Roy Larkin passed
points leader Jamie Passmore on the final lap to
finish fourth.

Speedway after picking up his second OCRS victory of
the season here on Saturday. After winning the OCRS
season opener at Creek on April 5, Passmore once
again dominated the tight quarter mile oval winning
the 25-lap main event over Matt Sherrell.
