2010 Mini Stock Rules and Specifications

IF IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN DO IT,

THEN YOU CAN'T.

Minimum age 13. Birth Certificate and Minor Release must be on file along with any special releases requested.

1. CARS:

Rear wheel drive compact cars with factory four cylinders only.

Maximum 101" wheel base.

No 240, 260 or 280zx cars allowed.

2. WEIGHT:

2300 lbs minimum, with driver, as they come off the track.

3. ENGINE:

Factory manufactured four cylinder.

Engine must match manufacture. Example: Ford in Ford, etc.

No after market heads.

No porting or polishing of heads.

No gasket matching.

Stock style valves only.

No lash caps.

No double valve springs (springs with flat inner dampener allowed).

Milling of head allowed on gasket surface only.

Stock rockers or pivots only.

No roller cams, solids allowed.

Stock rods and 2300 crank only.

No mismatching of rods and cranks.

No strokers.

Bore size not to exceed more than .080 over original size.

Head bolts or studs allowed.

Flat top pistons only (Except Toyota can have factory dome pistons).

Stock type oiling system only.

Stock intakes only and EFI intake allowed (no modifications).

Carb adapter legal but no taller than 2 inches including spacer and gaskets.

No production performance parts. Example: SVO.

No mismatching 2500 and 2300 components.

Adjustable timing gears allowed.

5.7 maximum long rod motors allowed.

No light weight or performance pistons.

ARP rod bolts allowed.

4. CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL:

Stock clutch and pressure plate only.

No mini clutches.

No Button devices.

Clutch must be operational.

No aluminum flywheel.

Flywheel minimum weight 16 lbs.

No drilling holes to lessen weight of flywheel.

Must have a 2" inspection hole for easy inspection.

5. SUSPENSION:

Must remain in stock location.

No more than one shock per wheel.

No coil overs.

Quick steers allowed.

A arms and trailing arms must be OEM unaltered. You may put washers on brackets over bolt holes but cannot be relocated.

Ford on Ford and Toyota on Toyota.

Stock wheel base by N.A.D.A. book.

No cutting on arm.

Toyotas can extend right lower A arm 2" only.

Racing springs allowed.

No adjustable spring buckets.

May use rubber or twist in type spring spacers.

88 T-BIRD Lower A arm on Ford right front only allowed.

Upper trailing arms on Mustangs can not be shorter than 9" or longer than 9 1/2" center to center of bolt holes.

6. WHEELS:

Steel only, maximum 8" wide.

Any offset.

Must have 1" lug nuts on both sides of car.

No bead locks.

7. TIRES:

DOT highway approved tires designed for street use only.

No recaps, mud or snow tires.

No IMCA tires.

13", 14" or 15" are acceptable.

Minimum Width 75 series.

Can groove tires.

Asphalt take offs allowed.

Tires must durometer 45 or harder after main event, no cool down period.

All cars in top 5 will be checked for durometer rule.

8. BRAKES:

Stock brake system only.

You may remove the right front brake, (remaining 3 brakes must be operational).

No lightening or shaving of brakes.

9. ROLL CAGE:

All cars will have 6 point cage.

1 1/2" Minimum O.D. tubing and minimum .095 thick.

Drivers door must have minimum three horizontal bars with a minimum of three vertical bars between them.

Passenger door must have minimum two horizontal bars with two vertical bars between them.

Cage will have an "X" in rear loop.

Bars within drivers head must be padded.

All cars must have a steel plate on left side door bars covering the driver’s seat area from the top bar down to the third bar, minimum 18 gauge or .049 inch thickness welded to door bars. Minimum area covered 12" x 18".

Roll cage will not be set back more than 4" behind original door jam.

No more than 15 degrees rear rake.

10. CARBURETORS:

Stock 2 BBL (OEM) Weber 3236, or motor craft 2 BBL.

Single down draft carb only.

You cannot bore carburetor and use Holley butterflys.

Holley's allowed. No alterations at all. No 650 base plates.

11. RADIATORS:

One radiator only, mounted in stock location.

Type optional, aluminum allowed.

Radiator must remain under hood without modifications to hood.

No rear mounted radiators.

Plastic fans only, no steel or flex fans. Keep them safe.

DO NOT RUN OVER FLOW TUBE OUT PASSENGER DOOR AREA.

12. BODIES:

Bodies are to remain stock appearing.

No excessive body modifications are allowed.

Must retain stock steel roof supports at front and rear of roof.

No convertibles.

Window openings will be a minimum of fourteen inches front to rear of opening.

Must attempt to straighten body and touch up paint before each race program.

Must have numbers on both doors and top facing passenger side at least eighteen inches tall and three inches wide.

No free lance spray painting.

Spoilers allowed, no taller than five inches.

Plastic noses allowed.

Nerf bars allowed but cannot extend any longer than the edge of wheel opening.

Nerf bars will only be made of 1 x 2 inch rectangular tubing, ends must be angle cut and capped.

Aftermarket body parts allowed, steel or aluminum only, with the exception of fiberglass hoods are allowed and all must remain stock appearing.

Any manufactured body MUST retain stock body lines. We will be monitoring this very closely. Stock body lines will be determined by promoter and tech.

All cars must have rear wheel wells or enclosed interior, to protect the driver from the tire or debris.

All body parts must be bolted or welded, except hoods cannot be bolted down, removable hood pins only.

13. EXHAUST:

Stock cast iron manifold.

Tubular style headers allowed.

Must not exceed 95 db's measured from the press box.

14. IGNITION:

Stock ignition only, no after market performance parts of any kind.

No production performance parts. Example: SVO.

No rev limiters.

No MSD Ignition boxes or distributors.

15. BATTERY:

One automotive battery only.

Must be securely mounted and covered so as to prevent spill of acid in case of a rollover.

16. Bumpers:

Stock bumpers or tubular.

Tubing not to exceed 1 1/2" o.d. and .120 thickness.

2 loops no taller than 8", not to extend out past the center of the tire and must be turned in toward the frame.

All bumpers will be checked for safety.

17. Fuel:

Gasoline or aviation fuel only.

No alcohol.

18. Fuel Cell:

Fuel cell will be securely mounted and subject to inspection for safety.

Fuel cell, with roll over valve, is mandatory.

Maximum 8 gals recommended.

No bottom pick ups or vented caps.

Must have fire wall between driver and fuel cell.

19. Fuel Pump:

Electric fuel pump or stock manual pump allowed.

Electric pump must be hooked to ignition on and off switch, so pump is off when ignition is off.

20. Seat:

Seat must be securely mounted.

Aluminum racing seat is mandatory.

21. Kill Switch:

All cars will have an of/off switch in working order and plainly marked.

22. Seat Belts:

All cars must have a 5 point approved racing belts with quick release.

Must be mounted to frame or cage.

Submarine strap is Mandatory.

REPLACE belts if older than three years.

Belts newer than three years and are showing wear, tear, or fraying, must be replaced.

Subject to safety inspection at any time.

23. Safety Equipment:

Complete fire suit and gloves of flame retardant material must be factory labeled.

At least SA 2000 approved helmet and racing shoes are required.

Neck collar and window net is required in this class.

24. Drive Shaft:

No aluminum drive shaft.

Drive shaft must be painted white.

25. Rear Ends:

No limited slips.

No traction controls.

Rear end must be welded or have a mini spool.

26. Windshield:

Windshield must be covered post to post, expanded metal or wire cloth strong enough to protect driver. NO CHICKEN WIRE
